When funding is available, applications will be selected based on preferences. Familes will be placed on a preliminary list and pulled to an established waiting list. Applications resulting in a tie in preferences will be sorted on the waiting list in date and time order.

JCPHA will determine family bedroom size based on its occupancy standards.

Income Limits

Income requirements for admission to JCPHA housing programs.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) sets income limits that determine eligibility for assisted housing programs including Housing Choice Voucher, Mainstream, VASH and Continuum of Care programs. Eligibility is established by comparing a family’s annual income with HUD’s published income limits which are based on estimates of median family income in a particular area or county, with adjustmants for family size.
