Income requirements for admission to JCPHA housing programs.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) sets income limits that determine eligibility for assisted housing programs including Housing Choice Voucher, Mainstream, VASH and Continuum of Care programs. Eligibility is established by comparing a family’s annual income with HUD’s published income limits which are based on estimates of median family income in a particular area or county, with adjustmants for family size.
If a person with disabilities require reasonable accommodation or has extenuating circumstances that prevent the submission of an online application please contact JCPHA for assistance at 417-627-2052.
It is important that the information you provide on the housing application and recertification forms is true and accurate. The local housing agency, HUD or the Office of Inspector General will check the income and asset information you provide with other federal, state or local governments and with private agencies. You are committing fraud if you sign and submit a form knowing that you provided false or misleading information.
If you know of anyone you provided false information on a HUD housing assistance application, recertification form or if anyone tells you to provide false information then please report the matter promptly to JCPHA.
