Housing Connect
A starting point for housing help in Jasper and Newton Counties.
Housing Connect helps individuals and families experiencing homelessness connect with housing assessments, referrals, and community resources. Staff work with you to understand your circumstances and identify possible next steps based on your needs, program requirements, and available assistance. Housing Connect is our community’s coordinated entry system. Completing an assessment does not guarantee housing or financial assistance.

What to expect
Assessment does not guarantee housing or financial assistance. Programs have eligibility requirements and limited availability, and there is no guaranteed housing date. You can also seek emergency shelter and other community resources directly.
You do not have to finish the Housing Connect process before seeking emergency shelter. Availability and admission requirements vary by provider.

Questions, rights, privacy, and feedback
Does completing an assessment mean I will get housing?
No. Assessment helps staff understand your circumstances and possible program matches. It does not guarantee housing, financial assistance, an available shelter bed, or a particular response or placement date.
What happens if I do not have all my documents?
Contact Housing Connect. Staff can explain what information is needed, and outreach staff can help you work on obtaining documents you may need.
What happens if I cannot get to the office?
Contact Housing Connect to discuss options for connecting by phone or at another location. This does not promise transportation or an immediate field visit.
Can I turn down a housing referral?
You can decline a referral and ask staff about another suitable opportunity. Programs retain their own eligibility, capacity, and service responsibilities.
Who can see my information?
Staff can explain the approved privacy and information-sharing choices that apply. Sending this contact request is not HMIS consent or another formal release. Declining HMIS-sharing consent does not by itself prevent an assessment.
How do I raise a concern or request a review?
Use the verified Housing Connect contact information on this page. Staff can explain the approved complaint or review procedure that applies; this page does not create an appeal deadline.
