The Well

The Well is a faith-based women’s ministry in Joplin, Missouri that operates as part of the larger Christian transitional housing community known as God’s Resort. The program is designed to support women who are seeking a fresh start after experiencing addiction, trauma, homelessness, or other difficult life circumstances. Participants live together in a structured residential environment where they receive spiritual mentorship, encouragement, and guidance from staff and volunteers. The ministry focuses on helping women rebuild their lives through faith, accountability, and a supportive community of peers who are working toward similar goals.

Through The Well, residents participate in Bible studies, mentoring relationships, and personal development activities while also working toward practical life goals such as employment, education, and stable housing. The program emphasizes long-term transformation rather than short-term shelter, encouraging women to grow spiritually while developing the life skills needed to live independently. As residents progress, many transition from the communal house into their own homes within the broader God’s Resort community or into independent housing elsewhere, with the goal of building healthy, stable lives for themselves and their families.
