A renewal is for an existing eligible grant that is seeking continued funding. It is not the starting point for a brand-new organization or a brand-new project idea. Renewal applicants should be ready to show performance, compliance, spending, and outcomes from the current grant.

The project goes through local review and HUD renewal submission.
If funded, the project continues without major interruption.
What can funding usually support?
Continued eligible costs from the existing project, such as rental assistance, leasing, supportive services, operations, HMIS, or administration as applicable.
